Within many of our student homes, we have selected BT as our internet service provider and appreciate that from time-to-time tenants will experience problems with their broadband, email or WiFi connection.

With this in mind and following customer feedback BT have developed a solution - a free tool called Desktop Help. BT are now making this a key part of their broadband service support and we would urge relevant tenants to install it now to improve their service experience.

Once installed, this intelligent download will identify problems as they arise and provide suggestions on quick fixes - and even fix the connection problem for you remotely. It won't affect the day-to-day running of your computer as it works in the background, checking your system and alerting you only if there's a problem.

You will need to have Desktop Help installed on your computer for it to detect and solve problems, so we suggest that you download it immediately.

Following the growth of Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, Ellbec have started the development of a number of student properties throughout the area.
